Deep purple. Concentrated dark fruits (black cherry, blackcurrant), crushed rock minerality, violets, pepper, and herbal notes. Full-bodied, powerful structure with firm, grippy tannins, good underlying acidity (for the vintage), and a long, stony finish. More backbone than Vacqueyras.

Drinkability: Needs time. Requires 3-7 years to soften. Best 2028-2038+. Decant extensively if trying young.
